How Plant the Box works

When the candle is done, plant the box. It grows.

The packaging is infused with real seeds. Tear it up, plant it in soil, water it, and the box becomes tomatoes, lavender, wildflowers or pumpkins.

Tear it up. Plant it. Water it. Tomatoes.
  1. Tear up the box

Or the tin's topper. The paper is the seed carrier.

  2. Plant it in soil

A pot on the sill works. Cover lightly.

  3. Give it water and sun

Then watch it grow. Each scent grows what it smells like.

    Jackie F.Wild Tomato Vine
  • "I love your scents because they smell exactly how they're labeled. Like someone crushed up basil or tomatoes and put them into the soy wax."

Questions

Straight answers.

Do they really smell like the label says, or is it the "idea" of a tomato?
Our scents are built from complex, blended layers of high-grade oils with boutique fragrance houses in the U.S., then tuned per scent for a room-filling aroma that does not overpower. Customers put it more plainly: "smells just like a summer tomato", "smells like I'm in my garden", "they smell exactly how they're labeled". One reviewer did find it faint; a full 2 to 5 hour burn with a wide melt pool is what releases the fragrance.
Does the box actually grow something?
Yes. Plant the Box packaging, and the topper on the tins, is infused with seeds. Tear it up, plant it in soil, give it water and sun. Wild Tomato Vine grows tomatoes, Heath Lavender grows lavender, Sweet Sunflower grows a wildflower mix and Half Moon Pumpkin grows miniature pumpkins.
How long do the candles burn?
The 10 oz tins burn about 50 hours, the 9 oz Plant the Box candles about 60 hours, and the 11 oz Coterie candles about 80 hours. Burn 2 to 5 hours at a time, especially the first few burns, and trim the wick to 3/8 inch before each one.
What is in the wax?
100% pure soy wax from domestically grown, GMO-free soybeans, with enviro-safe cotton wicks. Free of additives, dyes, phthalates and oil-based petroleum products. Vegan and lead-free. Cleans up with soap and water.
Shipping and returns?
Economy shipping starts at $6.95 and takes 5 to 7 days. Orders of $65 or more ship free in the contiguous U.S. If you are unhappy with your KOBO product for any reason, send it back with the original receipt and we will replace the item. Full details on our Shipping and Returns page.
